چکیده
Though sleep disturbance has shown to negatively affect outcomes related post-deployment conditions, it is unclear whether and how affects mental health symptoms beyond these conditions. We evaluated the independent moderating effects of quality on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depressive, neurobehavioral mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) PTSD diagnosis. Participants were 274 US combat veterans who deployed after 9/11. All completed diagnostic TBI interviews self-report measures quality, as well PTSD, symptoms. Only those passed symptom validity included in analyses. Hierarchical regression contribution TBI. Moderation analyses interactions between TBI, outcomes. Mild was only significantly associated with (p = .006) .003) diagnosis < .001), depressive .001) Sleep explained additional significant variance all three outcome also moderated (ΔR2 .01, p .023). subjectively therefore must be interpreted this context. These results provide support that an contributing factor should considered etiology complaints.

Epigenetic Biomarkers as Predictors and Correlates of Symptom Improvement Following Psychotherapy in Combat Veterans with PTSD
Epigenetic alterations offer promise as diagnostic or prognostic markers, but it is not known whether these measures associate with, or predict, clinical state. These questions were addressed in a pilot study with combat veterans with PTSD to determine whether cytosine methylation in promoter regions of the glucocorticoid related NR3C1 and FKBP51 genes would predict or associate with treatment ...

BACKGROUND Previous research in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has identified disrupted ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC) function in those with v. without PTSD. It is unclear whether this brain region is uniformly affected in all individuals with PTSD, or whether vmPFC dysfunction is related to individual differences in discrete features of this heterogeneous disorder. METHOD In ...
